I got a moto. Slvr l7c and i want to know how to get songs on it an if a 2gb chip is ....?

I recently got a motorola slvr l7c and i amd getting a 2gb chip tomorow and want to know how do iget music from my computer to my phone? i have a usb cord but its from my old camrea but its the same cord as my charger cept can go into the computer what will i need to do to get music into my phone? ALSO is a 2gb chip good about how many songs could that hold?
