What is the difference between the cheap telecasters and the expensive tele's from amazon?

The difference is body wood ,neck wood, pickups, hardware and finnish. Whats with the people knocking Mexican guitars ,i own both and my mexican has one piece maple neck ,nitrocellouse coating and tex mex pickups only found in mexico.My American is crap with a 2 piece neck, **** pickups and poly coating . Just because it says made in USA dosent mean its better than a Mexican.
