Should I join the Army ROTC in college?

I need a way to pay for college. I want to study architecture or architectural engineering. If I don't get academic scholarships, should I join the Army ROTC? I'm pretty much in shape, but I'm not a good swimmer... is that going to be a big problem? How long would I have to serve in the Army after college before I could start my career as an architect?
