What skills do Defensive ends need to have in High School?

I play WR.. and some linebacker (2nd string)..Im 5'11 160...and heard that Def end is a fun position....I never really payed attention to the lineman, therefore I dont know what a D end does( Outside Contained?). Anyone that can tell me what they do, and what skills are needed, along with things I can do to prepare?
