Does anybody know how to start an introductory paragraph?

I'm writing a paper about Odysseus from the Odyssey and it has to be about whether he lived a positive life or a negative life. I'm a beginning writer so i have no clue and I have looked all over to find some help, but nothing does. Please help!!!
