I have a 93 jeep Cherokee sport that starts up runs ruff for a minute, then backfires from the carburetor & s?

Check the ignition timing and that the plug wires are in the right sequence for the firing order, which is usually stamped somewhere on the intake manifold. The backfire through the carb can be caused by either of these, or even both !
