Inventive ideas for wearing silk scarves!!?

I am a woman. I get a really tanned neck every year and it looks ugly against my white face, and sun makes necks wrinkly anyway - I want to prevent it this year and plan to wear a scarf in the sun very day (a light silky one of course).. however i need some ideas on how to do this without being too hot and without looking like a posh idiot. And ideas for every outfit - I wear mostly dresses but sometimes jeans with a top. I always wear sun gloves and hat! Pleeease help me!
