My 5 month old has yellow **** in his eyes?

its going on 5 days now and the its not getting any better. Yesterday it look like it was going away but then today it got worst. His Doctor wont see him till thursday, does any one have and idea of what it could be? It's like boogers in the eye. It's getting crusty and more is producing in his eye hour by hour, hes slightly congested in his nose as well. No fevers, eating good, and peas and oo's. But besides that he is him self, Happy, laughing, spoild!! Can some one tell me if they have had this problem.
