Why dont atheists believe in God?

i know a guy and he is an atheist. he tells me that there isnt any evidence that God exist so he doesnt believe it. he says God is just like a unicorn and the boogeyman. that there is no proof that he isnt real. so he is saying that just cuz these other creatures are mythical or folklore then God is part of that group cuz u cant prove that he isnt. but i believe miracles are evidence and that are existence is evidence. cuz how did we get here if God didnt make us?and also ghosts are real so there is an afterlife. they are proof of that. i have family that has seen ghosts and they wouldnt lie. i never seen a ghosts but i know they exist cuz we all have souls and when we die our souls become spirits out of our bodies and look like ghosts. and i even though i havent seen a ghost i heard a demon before. and so if demons exist so then angels. and if angels exist then so do God. and im just curious to why atheist dont believe. i mean u cant see the wind but u know it exist cuz u can feel it. well u can also feel the presence of God. and miracles should be proof enough that he exist. i just dont understand how someone can live there life believing that there is no God. how can u live your life and be okay that if u die then thats the end of your existence? wouldnt u be terrified? and i just dont think we are only here on earth and thats it. that wouldnt be right at all. and people need to think how we got here. we just didnt get here from nothing. the earth just didnt magically appear out of thin air. everything is made from something. everything has a creator. we are born from our parents they creatured us. but who creatured the first man and woman? God did. u have to think about everything.
